Where do I train now?
- I am currently building relationships in LA and training with high esteemed dancers and choreographers such as Kelly Sweeney, Will Bell, Cedric Dodd, and more, once a week. I recently had the opportunity to take a masterclass with Sean Bankhead at Movement Lifestyle in September and I got to dance for Demi Lovato at Kelly Sweeney's class at Millenium Dance Complex to her new song "Kiss".
- I am in voice lessons with Broadway Alum Wayne Abravanel.
- Last summer, I was chosen to perform at Broadway Alum Dylan Smith's Art Gallery Exposition (August 1, 2024)- Performed two dance numbers alongside Scott Praags, Kate Hoffman, and Hailee Payne in Studio City, Los Angeles.
*I have been scouted by MSA Talent Agency (2023) and Clear Talent Group (2022).
Education
Early Dance Education
StarStruck Dance Studio, 2002-2018
- At two years old I began studying jazz, hip hop, contemporary, acrobatics, tap, ballet, musical theatre, voice, and lyrical under the direction of Shannon Lamoreux and over 25 instructors at StarStruck Dance Studio (located in Yucca Valley, California). At eight years old, I began competitive dance training and earned many esteemed awards throughout the years.
- I performed as Clara en pointe in The Nutcracker 2011-2013 in Palm Springs directed by Catherine Demonchaux from Desert Dance Ballet Academy.
- I have performed in over 40 dance showcases for the studio.
- I have attended several UDA Dance Camp Intensives where I got to learn from several industry professionals each summer.
- I have taken many studio-hosted masterclasses from guest artists such as Phil Wright, Emma Chamberlain, Ashley Robicheaux, Brandon Smith, and Callan Bergman to name a few.
- My most honorable opportunity was the Energy Elite New York Experience where I got to travel to New York to train at the Broadway Dance Center, take masterclasses with Broadway professionals, see iconic musicals, and have an exclusive photoshoot in central park. I recieved the MSA Agency Award for my performance throughout that entire week.
College Education
California State University Fullerton, 2018-2022
- I began my journey at CSUF as a Dance major in 2018. I studied Horton technique, Duham technique, Graham technique, Limon technique, afro-contemporary, contemporary, ballet, jazz, tap, improvisation, composition, rhythmic analysis, creative dance for children, forces and figures of dance, dance pedagogy, kinesiology, dance criticism, and dance history.
Under the instruction of Muriel Joyce, Macarena Gandarillas, Alvin Rangel-Alvarado, Lisa Long, Debra Noble, Michelle Osborne, Bill Lett, Courtney Ozovek and Josh Estrada-Romero.
- During my time at CSUF, I was selected to perform in three main dance concerts, 12X16 at Grand Central Arts District, two composition showcases, *two reperatory performances, a senior project and I assisted two advanced jazz classes and a Dance 101 class. We had the honor of taking class from guest artists such as Sam Nelson, Helene Phillips, Lloyd Culbreath, Sarah Housepian, and the Los Angeles Contemporary Ballet Company dancers to name a few. *I was selected for the department's reperatory performance company and had the opportunity to learn excerpts of Rooms from the Ana Sokolov faculty for one of the performances*
- Unfortunately, the pandemic limited my performance experience at CSUF, but I took every opportunity that was offered.
- I graduated with honors in both my Dance degree and Communication Studies degree in May 2022.
